Diablo Immortal isn't just a new entry in Blizzard's legendary action-RPG game series, it frames Diablo in a new context. Many new scenarios are available, in actual it's designed for mobile devices using touchscreen controls.
It's an online game with a hugely multiplayer component that has a shared world in which you can see other players running around. The game was co-developed with NetEase, a Chinese company, NetEase and, even more than any Blizzard game prior to it, it has been designed with an eye at Asian markets. It's completely free to play. These are major sea changes for Diablo.
However to any Diablo player -- and particularly anyone who is a Diablo 3 player -- Diablo Immortal will feel reassuringly familiar. The distinctive isometric perspective, frantic combat with swarms of monsters, and the plethora of loot fountains are all there.
In addition, Immortal has clearly been developed on the Diablo 3 engine and uses that game's assets, retaining the same feel and feel as the 2012 Blizzard game. Immortal's artwork features the same vividly colored golden glow. The battle is the same intoxicating firework display, and the clang and splatter of Diablo 4 Gold for sale the sound effects provide the same rich, Pavlovian satisfaction.
In their manner they are both just.
