There's a huge demand for RuneScape for RuneScape Gold both iOS and Android. It has over 1.8 million players have pre-registered to play the games that feature a mobile-friendly user interface with new menus, icons, texts and textures. Combat mechanics have also been adjusted for iOS as well as Android.
The company has filed two trademarks in the UK with one trademark to "OSRS Gold" and another in the name of "RS Gold", with the filing stating that the firm has registered the usage of the words as words. This is likely to stop third-party websites from being able to promote their sale of RS Gold.
A quick Google search of the term returns hundreds of websites, most of them with one of these terms in their URL, offering money in RuneScape with real money. The announcement came on the 13th of October that Jagex had put an end to "real-world trade". In a post on their blog "The RuneScape Team" stated that "gold purchased through RWT real-world trading is a major issue in any online game with a traded currency."
Jagex has announced that it will start sending "messages to those we've identified as engaging in the RWT" within "the next few hours". "For anyone involved, we want to be clear that this is your one message, and the only one," Jagex added.
Also announced was the news about the game's PvP feature, Duel Arena, would be subject to sweeping changes which include the tighter enforcement of the game's rules of conduct to promote more positive play. Jagex declares that Buy RS Gold the mode "has become a focal point for this toxic behaviour".
