Path of Exile 2: How to Fix the Shift+Ctrl+Click Verisium Bug

If you have been blasting your way through the endgame of Path of Exile 2, you know how crucial Verisium is for your progression. But recently, a devastating vendor bug has been absolutely gutting players' resource stockpiles.

The issue pops up when you visit Farrow to buy Liquid Verisium. Naturally, nobody wants to click a hundred times, so players instinctively use the standard bulk-buy shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + Left Click.

Instead of handily purchasing a full stack, the shortcut triggers a massive glitch. The game consumes your entire stockpile of raw Verisium—sometimes wiping out 120,000+ hard-earned units in a split second—and hands you a single, solitary piece of Liquid Verisium in return. It is an absolute heartbreak of a bug that can instantly vanish days of farming.

Thankfully, there is a permanent fix available right now, along with a few habits you should adopt if you're still waiting to patch.

How to Apply the Permanent Fix
Grinding Gear Games acted quickly on this economy-breaking issue and pushed out the 0.5.4 Hotfix to address it directly. Here is how to make sure you're safe:

Force an Update: Close Path of Exile 2 completely. If the download doesn't start automatically, restart Steam, the Epic Games Store, or your standalone launcher to force the client to check for updates.

Verify Your Version: Once the game boots up, check the main menu or the patch log on the login screen. Ensure your client reads version 0.5.4 Hotfix or newer.

Once you are on this version, the bulk-buy shortcut is safe to use again without fear of your resources disappearing into the void.

The Temporary Workaround (If You Can’t Update Yet)
If you are currently mid-map, playing on a console realm waiting for deployment, or simply haven't been able to download the patch yet, you need to be incredibly careful when interacting with Farrow. Follow these rules to protect your stash:

Stick to Single Left-Clicks: It is tedious, but you must click for every single piece of Liquid Verisium you want to buy.

Hands Off the Modifiers: Do not touch the Shift key, the Ctrl key, or any combination of the two while Farrow's shop menu is open.

Manually Split Stacks First: If you are trying to manage specific amounts of currency, do it safely inside your own inventory or stash tab before you open the vendor interface.

As a final reminder, Grinding Gear Games historically does not restore lost materials or items deleted by Early Access bugs. The economy rolls onward, meaning any Verisium you accidentally delete is gone for good. If you haven't updated to 0.5.4 yet, log out and do it as soon as possible—your endgame grind depends on it.
